The Lake Claire Community Land Trust was founded by a group of visionary neighbors in 1983 to preserve over an acre of greenspace from development. Today, our 1.7 acres includes over 60 community garden beds, a playground, a stage and amphitheater, a sauna, a pond, and a sanctuary for neighborhood celebrity Big Lou the Emu. People gather for festivals, drum circles, potlucks, community work days, and more.

Not your average tourist attraction, this is an oasis tucked away in the middle of the city. Take a stroll through their gardens or attend one of their musical events.
