The Downtown Mall is the place to go for Charlottesville’s food scene. There are many restaurants and shops all along this historic pedestrian street, making it a lovely walk that leads your nose and stomach where to go. There is also a free concert series there Friday nights starting in May at the Sprint Pavilion (a music venue at the end of the mall), making it a hot spot on those nights to enjoy the local culture.

A must for Charlottesville newcomers. This is an open-air mall with a closed street for pedestrian traffic only. It's a great place to people watch, eat or see a show.
