It is 8 miles to the Cullentown Beach. There is the main beach with toilets, outdoor shower, water tap, individual fenced-off picnic tables, a handball alley and parking. Pay attention to the sign and do not swim to the left as a river joins there. If you don't go down the ramp to this area, there is another beach past the Shell Cottage, down a pot-holed road where the locals go. There are no facilities there. (mind the washed out bit of the road)

This is less visited than Kilmore Quay strand but is a fabulous sandy beach. It has a well-kept toilet block and a short walk along the coast leads past the "Shell House" featured in the photo, which was decorated with shells found on the beach over a roughly 6 years period by the late owner.
