A 109 mile walking route starting in Helmsley and passing through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park before meeting the towns of Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay before ending in Whitby. Sections of the route can be walked for day or half day walks.

The Cleveland Way path from Filey to Helmsley traverses up the Yorkshire coast to Saltburn and is definitely worth exploring

From Bonnydale, approximately 1 mile across the Moor you can join the Cleveland Way. From here you can head North to the scenic village of Robin Hood's Bay or South to Scarborough Town. Maybeck and Falling Foss is approximately 6 miles drive from Bonnydale. This is a beautiful circular walk through woodland and hosts a lovely tearoom. Can be very busy. Robin Hood's Bay is approximately 6 mile drive from Bonnydale and is a bit of beauty with great cafes and pubs and lovely beach walks. Our local town of Whitby is approximately 10 miles away from Bonnydale and hosts many great pubs and restaurants. Also great costal walks.

We are located a short walk from the Cleveland way. You can turn right for a 7 mile walk to Filey and catch the bus back. Don't miss Cornelian bay and Cayton bay en route. Turn left and head north towards Whitby. Catch the bus back from along the route or do a circular walk back down the old Scarborough Whitby railway line. Hayburn Wyke, Robin Hoods Bay and Boggle hole to name a few great places.
