Rande Gerber is a friend, and he owns Cafe Habana. Most nights, if you're not in a big crew, you can walk up and find somewhere to sit. But they have karaoke nights every Wednesday, and it usually gets pretty crowded then. I don’t sing though—I’m just here to watch, see a few familiar faces, and enjoy a good Cuban meal with a nice ambiance. Bring your wallet, because this spot is right at Cross Creek, where there are a bunch of different places to shop.

Cafe Habana is a Cuban/Mexican cafe in Malibu, CA that holds an approachable, community-driven environment. We serve innovated Latin cuisine with a menu drawing specifically on Mexican and Cuban flavors. Our restaurant serves a lunch and dinner menu. As well, we have a full bar with original signature drinks and many wines sourced from California producers.

Owned by Cindy Crawford's hubby, who co-owns Casa Amigos Tequila with George Clooney (whose company office is just above it). Located in the Cross Creek town center from the section that used to be an actual lumber yard there is ample free parking, proximity to shopping and the local playground as well as flat trail park.
