Beautiful Church on the shores of Loch Awe, combine it with a visit to Kilchurn castle
This little church is one of Argyll's hidden treasures and is well worth a visit. Construction commenced in 1907 and was completed in 1930. Work was slow as only local labour was used. Stones were not quarried, but were rolled down the hillside and split and shaped on the spot! The kirk is open all year round and during the summer season there is also a tea room selling delicious home-made soup & sandwiches, cakes, tea/coffee and cold drinks. You might also be here when the kirk is hosting a musical event; if so, do not miss it - all to date have been excellent. Tours can also be arranged.
