Enjoy an evening under the stars around the outdoor fire ring, or in the hot tub or sauna after a day exploring the beautiful, rugged beaches of the North Coast. Savor the rich culture, arts and cuisine of Humboldt County or outdoor adventuring, hiking, birding or wildlife viewing, immersed in the majesty of the tallest trees in the world!

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Hike the redwoods, shopping in a Victorian Old Town, dine on local seasonal delicacies like Salmon and crab. Pick up necessities at Three-Corners Market, about a 5 minute drive.
