Bush getaway in the Bega Valley

The Australian Bracken Fern (Pteridium esculentum), an edible bush food endemic to Australia and New Zealand, lends Bracken Cottage its name. Bracken Cottage is a two-bedroom mud-brick cottage on Rock Lily's 100-acre bush block. Views are to the north and NW over the eucalypt forest that covers most of the property. It is suitable for a family or group wanting a base for rural adventure or a spot to gather and escape the city on a sustainably-managed property and has a dog-friendly fenced yard.

Birdsong Cottage, Bermagui. The peace of the bush.

Birdsong Cottage is located on a hectare of bushland on the outskirts of Bermagui. With two bedrooms and a large, open plan living area, deck, courtyard and well equiped kitchen, it makes an ideal getaway for up to two couples. Sorry, no kids. Many King Parrots and Lorikeets come to feed, and in the evenings, Wallabies and Kangaroos can be viewed feeding just below the house. Goannas, Echidnas, Possums and Lyrebirds are also regular visitors to the property. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The Lily Pond Cabin is one of a pair of bespoke cabins on our farm. Artistic and comfortable , full of art and personal touches, including my handmade pottery. There is unlimited NBN, so you can stay connected, in the peace of nature Next door is the shared Sunny kitchen, with a BBQ, a handmade dining table and wonderful views to the sacred Mumbulla Mountain. The water you can hear flowing into the lily pond is home to frogs who will serenade your quiet walks out into the starry night..

Find peace & tranquility in this sweet & stylish space with views of a lake, forest & farmland. Experience solitude & privacy with only a small distant cottage in sight. Swim in the river, see the stars at night, Roos at dusk & dawn and a few cows. It is off-grid with solar power and water must be carted in. For the hot days there is an air cooler ( no Aircon), it always cools down at night. No heater inside but it is never too cold in winter. Firewood provided. Cooking on bbq outside! 😊

The 2 bedroom Superior Cottage is one of 21 cottages. It is fully self contained, featuring tasteful decor and fittings. Air-conditioned with Queen bed in the main bedroom and a Queen bed in the second bedroom. Separate bathroom, open plan living area with log fire, large flat screen TV, DVD player, Nespresso coffee machine and outdoor gas BBQ. All bedding and linen is supplied including some essential toiletries.
