Located in the mountains on a scenic country road near Banner Elk, it’s just 30 minutes from Boone and 40 minutes from Grandfather Mountain. Discover great restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries in Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. Enjoy breathtaking views while hiking and biking in the area. During winter, 4WD or AWD is necessary for snowy mountain roads, with ski resorts just minutes away.

Cozy Studio at Little Bear Farm-Petfriendly

Little Bear Studio/Den is part of a house located at Little Bear Farm, an 8 acre private property with a large yard and field for romping with a dog, sledding, or walking around our pond and fields. Conveniently located near Banner Elk and Valle Crucis, we are close to shopping or the slopes. We are adjacent to 450 acres of forest that is part of the Blue Ridge Conservancy, offering hiking trails to the public. Lovingly adorned with my mosaic artwork, “Kirsten’s Cabin” is located less than 5 minutes drive from downtown Boone and is centrally located to many High Country attractions. The convenient location is a big plus, the trade-off is you can hear traffic from the 105 bypass. Ear plugs and noise machines provided. Rustic Mountain Cabin

Our log cabin nestled in the “High Country” of North Carolina has been in the family since 1979 when my grandparents, looking for a place to retire, moved here after falling in love with the area. The cabin was originally built in Virginia but was moved to Valle Crucis in the 1950s. Our dream has been to turn it into a peaceful mountain get-away for people looking for a break from the busyness of life to enjoy some time in the valley to rest, relax and explore the area.
