A Shepherd’s Retreat: Stunning Mountain View

Nestled at the foot of Whitehorse mountain in the midst of the North Cascades, a Shepherd’s Retreat is a working sheep farm. The farm is one of the few historic homestead farms in Snohomish County. Located within the North Cascades there is great hiking amazing views within a half hour drive. The town of Darrington is 5 miles away with restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery. The farmhouse has been recently updated and restored to allow guests maximum comfort, but able to live close to the land.

A cozy, secluded year-round base for hiking, fishing, or relaxing, it offers comfort and character in equal measure. Supported by a new Kohler whole-home generator for uninterrupted heat, lights, WiFi, and comfort. There is a separate basement apartment, and quiet hours are observed to ensure a restful stay for all.

Rustic Retreat

Quiet, private, secluded home on 25 acres of forested land. The home was built from logs milled on site. Enjoy filtered spring water, natural light, stargazing, & views of the tops of Mount Baker and the Sisters on a clear day. Owls and Elk can be heard during the evening hours at certain times of the year. Heat is provided by a wood stove and 3 space heaters. Mount Baker is 1 hour away; Bellingham is 30 minutes. Well-behaved, house trained, and supervised pets are welcome with a per pet fee.

Less than 20 minutes away by auto you can visit Edison, La Conner, and the Salish sea.
