Unwind in a one-of-a-kind, tranquil retreat. This beautifully renovated 100-year-old Dog Trot sits on the north side of our property offering a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Relax on the front porch with serene views of pastures, wooded landscapes, and frequent deer sightings. Enjoy the quiet beauty of the countryside while staying just moments away from Ruston's attractions. The Red House on Cross Lake

This is a Cross Lake cabin that we renovated from an old catfish restaurant built in the early 1930's. We call it the RED HOUSE. There are three cabins on the property that we also use for visiting family and friends. We live on the property behind the houses and we all use the property and pier. Guest also have use of the pier/boat house. The house is at the end of the road on the lake. Although family also uses the property the cabin is quiet and private with a great view of the open lake.

Waterfront - The Red Camp at Lake Bistineau

About 45 minutes from Shreveport/Bossier City, our lake house is located on a quiet curve of Lake Bistineau, known for its Spanish Moss-draped cypress trees and lovely sunsets. Please note that the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries has begun the annual drawdown to try to control the giant Sylvania weed. We can always see water from our property, but the water’s edge is out past the trees. Great for a walk in the lakebed! also, please check out our neighboring property, Shades of Blue!
