Located in the foothills of the Olympics, Shippen's Cabin offers the comforts of home in a wilderness retreat. The cabin is an ideal location to base your hiking adventure, or simply come to enjoy some time away from the city while exploring the area's many attractions. Relax after a long day on the trail with a hot sauna or a meal on the deck and enjoy the wilderness setting, often visited by local wildlife. High speed WiFi is available for those that need to stay connected during their stay.

Take a break and relax on beautiful Lake Sutherland just outside Olympic National Park. The cabin is in a convenient location on the lake with fantastic hiking nearby. It’s a quick 20 minute drive to Port Angeles and only an hour drive to the coast. You can easily get to many popular spots within the National Park or take a day trip to Hoh. This charming cabin is perfect for a family trip, working remote, or be enjoyed for a friends trip. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty of the PNW.

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Riverwalk Cabin: Walk Along the Dungeness River

Everyone is welcome to a very private and magical place in the riparian forest, only a 5 minute walk to the Dungeness River and less than 5 minute drive to downtown Sequim, Wa. Our most recent visitors tell us that we are a stand alone destination. A respite to relax and reboot . Our one bedroom cabin with a fully equipped kitchen offers a chance to enjoy a private and uninterrupted access to the Olympic rain forest, while affording you easy walking or biking to the small village of Sequim.

An authentic Pan Abode log home, the “Pray for Salmon Cabin” is located on the Olympic Peninsula along the Dungeness River with acres of natural forest to explore and find solitude within. And if you’re a fan of “Virgin River”, you’ll feel like you’ve arrived at Mel’s cabin. This cabin has been thoughtfully renovated with custom details throughout and is fully equipped with everything needed. If you are an outdoorist or nature lover, or just want to unplug, your stay here will be Heaven.

Enjoy the feel of seclusion and quiet, while being only minutes from downtown.

One of the few places around with access to both water and trails - all within walking distance. You can't beat our sunsets!
