Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Song Sparrow Cottage

Welcome to simplicity and peace. Tucked in the woods, amid birdsong, this 1-room cottage is a 15 min. walk to local food artisans or 5 min. drive to Ganges. Amenities: High speed Wi-Fi. Microwave. Coffee-maker. Electric kettle. Fridge. Toaster. Induction cooktop. Queen bed with luxurious Casper mattress. 3pc European style bathroom. Laptop-friendly workspace. Free parking. Covered deck for outside dining/relaxation. This hideaway is the perfect spot to unwind or make forays out to island life.

Salt Spring Gite

Our "gite" is a self-contained 2 bedroom cottage in the most beautiful part of Salt Spring, the south eastern tip, near Ruckle Park. From our cottage, you can walk to this historic working farm and park, explore its forested trails, and then head to the many beach areas a short distance away. Visit farm stands and take the Studio Tour. Take a dip in one of many lakes. Climb Maxwell Mountain or stroll through the Saturday Market and other unique shops. Salt Spring is a true one of a kind.

Bluebell's Garden Suite

Private, sunny 400 sq ft. garden suite. This well-appointed suite has a cozy living room with wood burning stove, kitchenette, separate bedroom with queen-sized bed and a bathroom with a luxurious claw foot tub and shower. The suite has its own entrance, an outdoor seating area within a private, fenced garden full of fruit trees, perennials and hummingbirds. exclusive use include a washer/dryer. Wifi /parking are included. Not suitable for children/people with mobility issues.

The Sea House

Our place is close to public transport, parks, the beach, great restaurant, grocery store, other shops and coffee shop.. You’ll love our place because of the great SSI neighbourhood, the comfy bed, the cosiness, proximity to the ocean, lovely gardens and flowers, friendly hosts and a nice continental breakie and snacks. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). We have a friendly dog and cat on the property.

Studio Cottage at St Mary Lake

Private patio, cozy wood stove, and your private Goodland wood heated hot tub. Open Oct 1st( depending on the fire ban) - May 1st. DISCLAIMER: We are doing a renovation to an adjacent cabin and the sight lines of the property from your cabin aren’t at their best. There will be no work taking place or noise during your stay but there is construction fencing to block the site of the adjacent cabin in view. The shared lawn, and lake area are unaffected.

A 5 min. walk into the main village you will find many places to dine, pick up local crafts or wander through several exhibits in galleries. Tea and coffee are always served! Hidden Retreat

The cottage is approximately 2km from Beaver Pt Hall, 5km from Ruckle Provincial Park, 10 minutes to Fulford Harbour, and 20 minutes to Ganges. We are within walking distance to several beach accesses, Canada Conservancy forest, and a beautiful First Nations Reserve. The beaches are launch points for nearby Russell and Portland Islands in the Gulf Island National Marine Parks.
