A fab destination and only 35 mins drive away. Bus and train services are excellent. Grab a water taxi from BristolTemple Meads Train station right into the historic Bristol Harbour.
Don't forget to check out The SS Great Britain or The Matthew the replica wooden ship that John Cabot sailed on over 500 years again when looking for the Far East. He came across Canada and named it Newfoundland.

Great trip out. The village is quaint with lots of typically English Tea Houses. My favourite is The Lion Rock Tea Rooms. Reservations recommendations.
Plenty of pubs with Beer gardens.
If you're up early on a Sunday morning they have the massive Car Boot & flea market.
Cheddar is also famous for it Strawberries and of course its Cheese.
Check out the rambling in this area.

Cider making
Who doesn't love a great pint of cider brewed from our local orchards in Somerset?
Well worth a visit. Pop into The Thatchers Shop to buy your "Scrumpy". The pub The Railway Inn belongs to Thatchers. The family live on site.
A great stop off if you are doing the Strawberry Line. If you get to do a factory tour it is State of the Art. Incredible.
Westons Cider & Richs are just up the road also.
