The Megalong Tea rooms Cafe is a hidden gem offering delicious food in a choice of indoor and outdoor setting. My favourite table is outside under the Eucalyptus trees and overlooking the escarpment.
it's a 30 min drive from Katoomba with enchanting bushtracks on the way down into the Valley on your left. Suggest you drive slowly as not well sign posted.

18 Katoomba StThis is my go to restaurant for a special occasion. It's eclectic decor located in the old Savoy Theatre makes it all the more interesting. Step back in time especially the old cocktail bar which is a classic.
There is live music usually on a Friday night. And be sure to book this wonderful restaurant in advance...very popular!
It's very well priced for fine dining and not to be missed.

On the way to the Megalong tea rooms. You could have lunch and then on the way navigate to this short bushwalk.
One of the most stunning hidden bushwalks. Not for the faint hearted as there is a steep set of steps down into the valley and the most beautiful waterfall. Not many people know of this little gem.

The area is quite safe to walk at night as there are CCTV cameras for your safety.
The Katoomba Cascades are also lit up at night and provide a great evening activity after dinner. You can drive there from the house. Only a 5 minute ride to the Katoomba Falls Reserve where you park your car and walk down a staircase to the falls. All lit up and safe.

Included in the centre is Blackheath Jewellery, with its extensive range of modern and estate jewellery, and the popular Victory Café, which opens for breakfast and lunch seven days a week and for dinner from Thursday to Saturday.
Highly recommended to everyone....with so much memorabilia to explore. When you're tired there's a number of cafes on the strip.

Minne haha is a fabulous, easy bushwalk in North Katoomba with beautiful waterfalls and a large swimming hole perfect for summer days. Bring your swimmers and towel on a warm day. Very scenic an easy walk with 2 metal flights of stairs closer to the Falls otherwise a flat walk through picturesque bush. A must see!
