Kaštel Gomilica was built around the historic Kaštilac Fort. Kaštilac fortification is a citadel of the Benedictines of Split from 1952. Kaštilac got its “ life opportunity“ a few years ago when it was selected as the location for the fifth season of one of the most popular series, Game of Thrones. With its beauty and uniqueness Kaštilac got many fans from the series but also those who came to see it live after watching the series.
