Just a fantastic place for seafood. Different varieties of crab and preparation beyond what any other restaurant can deliver. Do expect long lines. It will almost always be an hour.

Surf City! Santa Cruz is home to the University of California, Santa Cruz, but the beach and Boardwalk are really the featured attractions! Fantastic restaurants all over town from Zachary's for breakfast, to Lillian's Italian Kitchen. Seabright Beach is a great destination for a day. Local towns Soquel and Capitola are great non-touristy spots. Wonderful weather most of the time, but check on the fog before heading over the hill. Marianne's Ice Cream is a must. The Catalyst was once the musical hub in the region; it may rise again.
