This cute little tree-lined Square has lots of antique shops, restaurants, a Strand theater that has movies and sometimes musical groups which has a rooftop terrace and a bar that you can look out over the square. There's also a theater on the Square. There is a parking deck available nearby and if you're
lucky you might find a parking place around the square. There is a farmers market on the weekend and usually something like a Festival going on at the square. It is about 10 or 15 minutes through the Battlefield from the house.

This battlefield has a small gift shop and an inside area with park rangers to answer questions, bathrooms and also picnic tables outside.There is a nice trail up to the top of the mountain that you can look out and see Marietta Kennesaw. I has a lot of walking trails and plenty of parking. The parking is $5 if you don't have a National park pass. There is a great restaurant near the park that you can walk to. Its open till 2 and has breakfast and lunch and brunch. It's called Basecamp. this is probably a five-minute drive from the house. It also has bicycles at the base that you can use for free I believe for an hour and then after that I think you have to pay. It is great resource. There is also a music venue on Friday and Saturday nights called The Hunt house that showcases musicians near The Battlefield. You'd have to look it up, The Hunt House Marietta Georgia, to see if they have anything scheduled that weekend

This is our favorite place to go eat. It has great Southern food. You can get vegetable plates, entrees, hamburgers, hot dogs great desserts,, wine, beer. It is very reasonable and a local favorite. So if you like fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, black eyed peas, lima beans cornbread etc this is the place to go.
