Guidebook for The Cottage Getaway by the Sea

Closest beach access is a 2-3 minute drive at the south end of CLIFF DRIVE Dr (go one block inland to CLIFF and 2 blocks south). The road will bend down to the left where you'll see a "NO OUTLET" sign. (Handy sign for Hidden Beach, ha!...continue on.) There are about 8 parking spots. Stroll on the paved road at the park, through the park and down the ramp to the beach. It is not officially allowed, but you will find most dogs are off leash at this beach. Also a nice stroll from The Cottage is walking north on Bayview, then left on Cliff until you get to Kenneth. Take a left and at the end of Kenneth there are stairs down the cliff to the beach. Feeling energetic? Go "down" to the beach one way (Kenneth or Hidden Beach), and "up" from the beach from the other access at a steady brisk pace returning to the cottage in just under an hour.

#1 Seafood Restaurant in the Santa Cruz area is Johnny's Harborside. Located in the Santa Cruz harbor, be sure to make a reservation. In the summertime, take a ride on the sailboat Chardonnay out of the harbor at 4:00pm and dine at Johnny's afterwards!
