This is an iconic Sacramento establishment, that's been featured in the Best Motion Picture film "Ladybird" (albeit for about 2 seconds). Their ice cream and sorbet are always house-made, and anyone that visits Gunther's should try the 50-50 Freeze!

Their hot foods are affordable, delicious, and frequently sell out, so consider calling ahead if you have something in mind! Mr. Yamamoto, a former restaurant owner and disciple of the famous Shige-san, makes delicious and affordable sushi with quality ingredients. Everyone here is friendly, but the store has old-people hours. Unfortunately, they do not accept EBT at this time.
