Located behind the Grand Pacific Hotel and the Lorne Pier, this apartment is spacious with a north facing sunny aspect. Just metres from the apartment you can swim, surf, beach walk, enjoy the sunrise, Pub, seafood restaurant.
Our sunny swell view apartment is perfect for couples, or friends travelling together. It sleeps a maximum of 3 with a queen bed in the spacious bedroom, and a single sofa bed in the lounge room. Quality 100% cotton sheets of 1200 thread count, and feather duvets and pillows provided for all beds. Cotton towels, hand and face towels also provided. Our courtyard garden is perfect for a sunny breakfast with teak outdoor furniture, and also receives late afternoon shade under our mature olive tree. There are a number of iconic surf breaks a short walk from the apartment, including Lorne Point and St George River mouth. Walking options from the apartment are endless and include 10 minute flat walk (a rarity in Lorne due to the rugged geography) into town to visit Lorne's boutiques and renowned cafes and restaurants. You can be in the Otway National Park within a few minutes walk south of the apartment and enjoy cool fern gullies, peaceful and pristine beaches and abundant wildlife.
The apartment enjoys split system air conditioning/heater, full sized kitchen with dishwasher and as well as washing machine.
We are happy to provide linen for the sofa bed if required, please let us know prior to arrival. There is no additional charge for use of the sofa bed, however a third guest incurs a charge of $50 per night. Simply enter amount of guests when seeking quote. Thank you.
Pets - While this apartment is not suitable for most dogs, we operate a dog hosting business in the hinterland, just 20 minutes from Lorne. We can pickup/drop off dogs from the apartment in Lorne. Your dog/s (up to 2 at a time) can enjoy being treated as part of the family, with 24 hour personalised care, on our rural acre property. Our furry friends stay inside with us in our mud brick home, sleeping by the fire or in the bedroom with us! - if that is what they prefer. Dogs are walked twice a day, in the bush or on the beach. Lorne is situated on Victoria's Great Ocean Road, an easy 2 hour (approx) drive from Melbourne. Lorne is a unique coastal town in Australia located within the Otway Ranges. It has stunning natural beauty within a north-east facing, forest covered, amphitheater. Yet, the town also has a sophistication not experienced in many other coastal areas. The commercial area is contained within one main street that provides all manner of boutique shopping, a cinema, and high quality cafe's and restaurants. Given the Grand Pacific Hotel is located just meters from the apartment, its hard to go past for great ocean views, quality meals, craft beer, and friendly service. We also love 'Ipsos' a Greek restaurant with a long family history in Lorne and 'Movida' (a Melbourne Spanish icon) which has expanded to the lower level of the Lorne Hotel. The quality restaurants include Mexican, Japanese, Indian, Italian and an iconic burger joint called 'Bottle of Milk'. The best breakfast is probably at the Swing Bridge Cafe, located literally where the Erskine river meets the ocean. If you like eating on the beach, the Beach Pavilion has fantastic food with great winter specials. Good coffee spots abound in Lorne - try 'Moons', 'Swing Bridge Cafe', 'HAH'.
