The boat ramp is 200 metres down the road; Caves Beach is a 7 minute drive away; we are within walking distance or a short drive to the shopping village, clubs and pubs. Please note our base rate is for 2 guests with access to 1 bedroom only (upstairs super king bed). The second bedroom (downstairs queen bed) will be locked. If you require 2 bedrooms for 2 people, please adjust the number of guests to 3 adults (selecting infants/children does not open the room as there is no charge for their stay) We are situated directly next door to Morpeth’s historical River Royal pub which offers a quiet atmosphere mid week and a social evening Fri/Sat (closes at 11pm)

From May through to October whales pass the area for their Northern and Southern migration. A must see 🐳

Acacia Cottage at Wattle Valley Farm

Acacia Cottage is a recently refurbished modern country cabin on the doorstep of the Hunter Valley wine region, which makes this an ideal base from which to explore everything this region has to offer. The cottage is situated on Wattle Valley Farm adjacent to our living quarters and a short walk to the iconic Wollombi Brook. During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, playpus, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras and black cockatoos.

Calm and coastal self contained Merewether unit

Hi, welcome to my beautifully renovated coastal style unit. Enjoy an easy stroll to Merewether Beach for a coffee at Blue Door, or a cocktail at the renowned Surfhouse. Lingard Hospital is within walking distance, as is a laundromat, post office, bottle shop and numerous cafes and bars. The unit sleeps 2 adults, and has the availability of a portacot. There is a small outdoor area and a parking space, so you can leave your car and walk to all that Merewether and Newcastle has to offer.

Our studio is a peaceful, quite centrally located place. Pied-à-terre, located on the historic hospital hill, is a detached self contained flat with a living/bedroom area, with a queen bed and a double fold out sofa bed. It has a kitchenette with microwave, kettle and toaster only. It's at the rear of the property amidst a lovely garden. A quiet escape from the busy downtown of Cessnock only a 10 to 15 minute walk away, and a 8 minute drive to the gateway of the Hunter Valley Vineyards.

Our charming studio is only 3 meters from the lapping waters edge of Lake Macquarie. Just relax and watch the yachts sail by, magnificent views. It's quite romantic to sit in the moonlight and feel the lake breeze in the evening. Through day you might like to try your luck at a spot of fishing from our jetty or enjoy a stroll down the main street looking through the boutique shops of Toronto 2 minutes away.
