Relax with the whole family in this peaceful environment while you take in the view. Cute, compact and comfortable... THE COTTAGE is a gem! Forming part of "The View's" trio of cottages, THE COTTAGE is 150m from the main homestead aka The View, as well as Maflute's. All our cottages operate on solar and gas and fresh water is plentiful and delicious. We provide a limited amt of wood and ice, 1L milk, tea and coffee, and if you enjoy a filter coffee, bring your favourite flavour. See you soon

This cabin offers a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle despite it's central location. Inside, you’ll find modern furnishings, quality linen, airconditioning, a solar backup inverter, and all the comforts you need for a restful stay. Step out onto the deck and watch the birds in the garden, set against views of the Drakensberg mountains. Just minutes from hiking trails, the Midmar Dam and local shops, this cabin is ideal for romantic getaways, working retreats, or small family adventures.

Irish Hills

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. We are situated in a conservancy with abundant birdlife, with eagles swooping over the lush green valley. We are 3 km from the closest school, 5 km from the Quarry Centre, which would cater for most of your needs. All our lighting is covered by an inverter, and we have two standyby generators to charge up fridges, geysers, cell phones, etc. The entire boundary of the property has an electric fence with security lights and armed response.

The Owls Nook

The Owls Nook is a rustic wooden cabin on the banks of Khayalami Bay, Albert Falls Dam. Fully equipped self catering facilities. The perfect escape from the busy city life, offering beautiful views and tranquility, and many outdoor activities to connect you with nature, such as fishing, birding, cycling, walking or hiking. Situated just 30 minutes outside of Pietermaritzburg. In the outdoor area, we have a bonfire and braai with a seating area to sit with friends and family under the stars.

Pearse Farm Stay

A large thatch farm house on a running family egg farm. The property has been in the family for generations and is the perfect spot for a group to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Cattle to see in the surrounding fields, a large pool to cool off in, large garden for all ages to enjoy. Easily accessed from the N3, a short drive on a dirt road to the best of both worlds. Remote & peaceful, yet super close to town & restaurants. A peaceful place to enjoy and relax in.

Bonnie View Game Farm and Lodge is situated in the KZN Midlands, over looking the beautiful Albert Falls Dam. Choose between 3 A-frame lodges surrounded by nature, guest are able to take short trail walks, bird watch and enjoy nature on their doorstep in the form of zebra, nyala, impala, warthog, blesbok and wildebeest. Bonnie View is a short 15min drive away from the town of Hilton and a 30min drive from the popular Midlands Meander. A quiet place to enjoy the calm of nature.

Wild Hare: Nguni self-catering - Lions River area

Nguni Cottage is one of 4 self-catering cottages. Ideally situated on the Midlands Meander between the N3 and Piggly Wiggly as the crow flies. Decorated in earthy colours, spacious, cotton linen, fire place, dstv, large fridge freezer, gas stove. The cottage has a single en suite shower bathroom and bedroom with open plan living room / kitchen area, perfect for a couple. (Sleeper couch &/or floor mattress is available for children). Weber braai and verandah furniture.

The Cottages - The Old Mushroom Farm

As the name suggests, the farm was once used to grow mushrooms, but has since been renovated into modern accommodation and is now an attractive destination for the whole family- including pets! There is plenty to do and see on the farm with multiple shops, restaurants, kids play area, food garden and more also on the property. Work out at the gym, grab a morning coffee, pick up some fresh bread, and forage for your lunch- all a short walk from where you’ll be staying.

A modern, farmhouse cottage nestled on the bank of one of the dams within this 10 hectare property. Offering incredible bird life, walking trails through wetland and along the Rietspruit river and multiple perfect picnic spots, including the waterfall! Catch and release bass fishing on site whilst extensive MTB and running trails leave from the property. 10 min to either Howick or Hilton and the Midlands Meander, Naudestone is perfectly placed for a peaceful escape.

Stylish and charming guest suite set on a secure estate. The upstairs mezzanine bedroom has a queen size bed, fan and dressing table. Downstairs well equipped kitchen, bathroom and TV are open plan. A sliding barn door separates the bathroom. The unit has a private covered verandah with beautiful views and is fully fenced for pet friendly visits.

Our old stables have been converted into a unique and comfortable two bedroom cottage, with breath taking views of the rolling lawns and indigenous forest. Great for families, or a group of friends looking for a true escape. Westfield Farm is also an intimate wedding venue, offering bespoke ceremonies next to the beautiful private dam.
