The river has heavy tidal flow (no river use from home). The Hoquiam River support runs of Chinook, chum, and coho salmon, steelhead, and sea-run trout. just a couple of miles upriver from Historic Downtown Hoquiam restaurants, stores and shops, 20 min to coast 45 min drive to Lake Quinault hiking trails South Shore Trailhead.

Fully stocked with coffee, spices, cooking needs, towels and linens. Great for two families. Just bring your clothes and food. It's an flat 50 yard walk to the beach access. Walk merely 70 steps to the sandy beach using the maintained beach access trail directly in front of the home. There is a wooden bridge and 7-8 uneven stairs.
