Springfield Cottage - Cosy Medieval Hall House

Springfield Cottage is a few steps away from the centre of Chagford, a unique and historic town on Dartmoor. One of oldest properties in the town, it is a warm and welcoming house full of period features dating back to medieval times, including a large inglenook fireplace. A small frontage with lots behind! It has all modern comforts including a fully equipped kitchen and a separate wet-room style shower room with under-floor heating. Off-road parking (better suited to small to mid sized cars).

The cottage's own garden has two decked seating areas. Set in glorious rolling countryside near Dartmoor, Devon's gorgeous sandy beaches and the vibrant cathedral city of Exeter.

Underfloor heating and a cosy wood-burner. There is an EV charger at the barn. Beaches and moorland all within a half hour drive. Being within a working farm, sadly we cannot allow dogs.

Dartmoor itself is also accessible by foot or a few minutes in the car. The sandy beaches of North Devon are a 40 minute drive away if you fancy a surf!

Spreyton is ideally located 10 mins from the A30, just 4 miles north of Dartmoor National Park and within easy access of the north and south Devon coasts.

Our Cottage is situated within our garden in beautiful sleepy Sampford Courtenay. We are pet free (allergy free from pet related allergy) If you are looking for a quiet picturesque Devonshire village, with little interruption, close to Dartmoor for walking / cycling with a lovely traditional local pub, thatched of course, then look no further.
