Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Only 10 min from YYJ and 5 min to the BC Ferries, this is an ideal location for an early departure or island trips. This retreat has a network of hiking and walking trails at its doorstep.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Beautiful new studio suite in private home, with full bathroom, kitchenette, bbq area and private covered deck with spectacular ocean view. 5 minute walk to trail head at Mt Erskine Provincial Park. Take a leisurely 10 minute stroll down to Bader's beach for a swim in the warmest water on the island! Enjoy spectacular sunsets from your private deck snuggled in our fluffy robes and slippers! Ganges is a 7 minute drive for unique shopping and dining opportunities.

Emandare Vineyard Guest House, a Restful Haven.

Located on a quiet winding road just minutes from downtown Duncan and situated on a 8.5 acre vineyard and winery that feels like you may be in the middle of nowhere. A fully furnished 950 sq/ft suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and very comfortable to accommodate a group of 4 with the added bonus of a pull out to sleep up to 6. Featuring a 400 sq/ft front deck with a BBQ, comfy patio furniture and a large Jacuzzi hot tub right out front of the master bedroom.

Welcome to our listing and the Cowichan Valley. We overlook Quamichan Lake, and are located midway between salt water at Maple Bay and the city of Duncan (each are a six minute drive away). We are also midway between Nanaimo and Victoria (1 hour drives). For bikers and hikers the Mt. Tzoulhalem (Kaspa Road) trailhead is 600m away (we provide bike lockup). Our rate is for 2 guests. Additional guests are $50 per night. Sorry, we're not child-proofed.

Studio Cottage at St Mary Lake

Private patio, cozy wood stove, and your private Goodland wood heated hot tub. Open Oct 1st( depending on the fire ban) - May 1st. DISCLAIMER: We are doing a renovation to an adjacent cabin and the sight lines of the property from your cabin aren’t at their best. There will be no work taking place or noise during your stay but there is construction fencing to block the site of the adjacent cabin in view. The shared lawn, and lake area are unaffected.

The Sailors’ Rest: Cottage with Hot Tub

Our worry free luxury cottage is our second dwelling on our main resident property and therefore is risk free of unexpected cancellations. While you are here and getting to know the ropes enjoy all the; local wineries/breweries, tea farm, fresh farm food, local artisans and marinas all within minutes of our location. Take a short walk down to the kayak rental if you’re feeling like you want to play in the water, or just enjoy laying on the beach.

The Trincomali Hideaway Oceanfront Yurt

This luxurious oceanfront yurt is hidden in an ancient cedar grove providing privacy and an amazing backdrop to its unprecedented ocean front setting. Set atop an ocean front rock face with a fully covered patio. A fully equipped kitchen and spa like bathroom highlight the luxurious amenities included in this stay.
