The Doe Branch Cabin - Modern Mountain Retreat

Sense of Place. That is the inspiration here, at least in part. The cabin is situated on 12 private acres in a remote corner of Madison County, surrounded by national forest, streams, and clear mountain air. The property has a history of artist residents, and we encourage creatives of all types to come seek the inspiration found by those that came before. The town of Marshall, an artistic enclave, is 25-30 minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 45-50 minute drive. Hiking and rafting nearby.

Hilltop Cabin at Raven Ridge

Hilltop cabin is a gem away from the hustle and bustle of the world. We are 23 minutes to Asheville and 7 minutes to the quaint river town of Marshall. The place stands out for the homemade vibe of the cabin, mountain views and garden setting. Perfect for couples or a single traveler seeking minimalist simplicity. Doggies welcome too! Un-plug from the complexity of modern life while enjoying proximity to major sights, a galaxy of stars overnight and a sunrise view of dew on the gardens.

WNC Mountain Cabin Escape! Near Asheville & I-26!

Welcome to WNC! Our Mountain Cabin is on 10 Acres of 5 generation Farm Land! Interstate I-26 is only 5 min. away! There are many nearby Towns: Asheville, Weaverville, Mars Hill, Marshall, Hot Springs & More! Seasonal Fun is Near: Hiking, Rafting, Fishing, Horseback Riding, Golfing, Biking, & more! You might even see deer & turkey during your visit! *We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance, we cannot refund you if you have travel interruptions before or during your trip.

The Nest, a mountainside retreat

The Nest is tucked into a grove of hemlocks, high above the creek and valley below. All types of vehicles have made the trek up the driveway, but we recommend 4-wheel drive. The seclusion of The Nest is unmatched and this tiny modern marvel comes with all you ask for, and so much more. Less than 25 min to downtown Asheville and minutes from the quaint mountain towns of Marshall and Mars Hill. Enjoy activities like hiking, skiing, and zip lines. The new hot tub is not yet photographed.

Snowbird treehouse

A 10ftx10ft treehouse built around a hickory tree with a wood deck. It looks over a creek 30 feet below. There are electric switches/outlets and fan/oil heater. Climb a ladder to the sleeping loft with a standard full size bed. The loft has a peak high enough to stand up under. Cook outside on gas grill. No running water but there's a drinking water dispenser. The bathroom is a composting toilet and outdoor shower with solar tank at the end of a 25ft path, adjacent to the treehouse.

Annie the Airstream | Mountain views & Goats!

Come stay with us in beautiful Appalachia! Annie is our renovated 1977 Airstream Argosy. She has traveled the US, but has officially retired & ready for more memories! Early-risers grab your coffee & enjoy the breathtaking sunrise rising behind the mountains, hang with our goats, sheep, ducks & chickens or relax in the hammock under the willows. At night have a fire, make s’mores & gaze at the stars! We are 12 minutes from downtown Marshall, 30 minutes from Asheville & Hot Springs!

Mountaintop Marshall Home with a View

Enjoy this tranquil cottage nestled among the trees on top of Walnut Mountain. After hiking, whitewater rafting, or soaking at the hot springs, relax on the 3 outdoor decks sunning, grilling, or enjoying the picturesque mountain view or abundant starry skies. Sip your coffee in the morning listening to the birds and enjoying the local wildlife. Great location 10 minutes outside the town of Marshall, 40 minutes from Asheville, and 20 minutes from Hot Springs. Self-check in.

The Bird House

I created a passive solar tiny house, with tons of south facing windows & beautiful mountain views. It's located just 4 miles from downtown Marshall & it is about 20-25 mins. from both Asheville & Hot Springs. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby which include horseback riding, rafting/paddling on the French Broad River, zip-lining, hiking (we have more details in the host guidebook). Come enjoy a nice peaceful stay in this modern tiny home surrounded by greenery.

TreeTop Tipi

Our treetop tipi is a 1 of a kind experience you will not soon forget! Take a short nature walk up to the roughly 400 sf tipi decked out in woodsy cabin decor. With 3 comfy beds don't forget your friends! Enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee on the porch while gazing into the canopy of trees and listening to the array of bird songs which are sure to impress even a non-camper! This glamorous campsite is doused with personal touches you're sure to love as much as we do!
