Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and Amazon Fire TV (Magenta TV). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

Just 25 minutes from Skövde (1h by train to Gothenburg) and Mariestad, it’s perfectly placed for exploring Sweden’s biggest lake, Vänern, and Billingen, a UNESCO Global Geopark offering great skiing in winter. Enjoy birdwatching at Lake Östen on the bird towers near by, stroll through our garden, or unwind in the yoga cottage by the water. The forests nearby offer berries and mushrooms.

För frågor eller särskilda önskemål så hör av er så försöker vi lösa det bästa för er gäster, vi försöker vara så flexibla som vi kan .

Norra Vätterns pärla

På en ås med utsikt över norra Vätterns vackra skärgård ligger vårt moderna, nybyggda fritidshus med stora sällskapsytor och en fantastisk takhöjd med fina ljusinsläpp. Här kan en lite större grupp/familj finna återhämtning med närhet till naturen men ändå är det bara 10 minuter med bilen till den vackra lilla staden Askersund. Tivedens nationalpark ligger nära liksom den långa sandstranden Harjebaden. Huset stod klart hösten 2018 och har alla bekvämligheter.

A typical charming Swedish red cottage in lovely surroundings. Around 15 min walk to a beautiful lake Toften. Swimming, fishing, birdwatching, hiking, mountainbike ride, ice skating in the winter. Fully equipped house with all year around standards that can accomodate 6 people. It is very quiet and peaceful place. Towels and bedsheets are included ! Här kombineras närheten till stadens utbud med lugnet i en rofylld villaidyll. Den charmiga 50-talsvillan ligger i ett lugnt område strax utanför centrum, med gott om plats för familjer, vänner och arbetsresenärer. Tomten är lummig och grönskande, med altan i soligt söderläge och gräsytor för lek. Boendet ligger nära både Vänerns vatten (450 m) och resecentrum (1,6 km).

Gästhus på lantgård mellan Vadstena och Omberg

Välkommen till vårt gästhus på vår gård som ligger mitt på Vadstenaslätten invid Vättern. Här är nära till Vadstena med medeltida miljöer, slott, kloster, mysiga små butiker och restauranger. Söder om oss ligger Omberg som också är en av Östergötlands mest besökta utflyktsmål. Fågelsjön Tåkern ligger öster om gården. Här finns mycket att se och uppleva.

Stunning lakeview, beautiful house

A well-loved family house which has been home to five generations. Most of the house has been newly renovated 2013-2015. It is located on its own on the island of Torsö with a vast garden and a stunning view of lake Vänern from the spacious terrace.
