Also a great spot for nature enthusiasts as you can sit on the porch and see lots of wild birds and the ducks in the stream right across the road. On occasion you may see other species of wildlife.

A great place to retreat to for peace and play.. This home is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families and furry friends. The Portlandia Suite is a large 1 bedroom private apartment with full kitchen and full living room, fold out couch and full bath.

The Wounded Warrior Cabin is located near the "Tail of the Dragon," Cherokee NC, NOC, Fontana Village and many other family-friendly activities. A trout stream runs along the front of the cabin and overlooks the mountains. There are 3 large bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a game room, wrap around porch, and laundry room. Our Snowbird Creek Cabin is cool and relaxing. It is just minutes from “Tail of the Dragon”. It is a fly fisherman’s paradise also. Hiking trails and waterfalls abound, or just kick back and relax in the pristine setting of the Snowbird Back Country. We will allow one dog 25 pounds or under to come. No exceptions for bigger dogs. I will request a picture of the dod. The dog will not be allowed on furniture. I live next door, so i will know if my rules are not obeyed.

Our small rustic cottage is 2 miles from the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Bryson City is 20 minutes drive. Fontana Lake and pontoon boat rentals are 15-minutes away. The Upper Nantahala (for fly fishermen) is 15-minutes away. The Lower Nantahala, Snowbird, Buffalo Creek, Little Tennessee, and other well known fishing opportunities. The Appalachian Trail is within walking distance. The Cottage is on a dead-end county road.
