Welcome to Birdie, She is a 1908 craftsman home in the heart of Tacoma. City views, landscape, cascade mountain ranges with a full view of Rainier on a clear day. Birdie was redesigned by my dad and I. I met this home in 2006 and said, one day I will own this. I was 18 years old and fast forward to 2019 and was able to make dreams come true. Just like the birds that bring in the morning sunrise, Birdie sings and brings me so much inspiration and creativity. I hope it does for you too.

Peaceful Bavarian Cottage & Hot Tub in the City

This is a very comfortable alternative to hotels with the hospitality culture. Cherry hardwood flooring throughout, a German/European feel as well. This is an ADA friendly property and the only steps (3) are on entry. Deck off the bedroom door with a small hot tub or cool tub if it’s hot out ! Street parking for one or two vehicles. Should you require 2 vehicle parking please discuss with me prior to arrival. I consider neighborhood parking etiquette very much!

Querencia means place where the heart feels secure and at home. I hope I've equipped this small cottage with everything you'll need to feel warm, welcome and secure. In addition to the basics, inside you'll find an induction hotplate, an electric fireplace, a Miele washer with a heat pump dryer, also robes and house slippers for use during your stay. I live close to a busy street, but have tried to create an urban oasis that you will enjoy.
