The cottage and companion pirate ship tree house are steps from the shore where you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, and leisurely beach walks. Loft bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, well equipped kitchen, wifi, large deck w/ hot tub, BBQ, bar. Fire pit and lawn at waters edge. On 23 acre horse farm with 510 feet of private beach and 1 1/2 miles of walking trails. Relax, enjoy eagles, blue heron, seals, and an occasional Orca.

Our favorite features are the 5 miles of walking trails and beaches all around the point, the pool and pickleball!

" Captain's Quarters", at Sylvanrude, Lakebay WA

The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, don't forget the binoculars!

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. This property may prove challenging for individuals with mobility issues. **Pricing is discounted due to ongoing improvements. Tools and materials are kept out of sight, but you may notice some unfinished details. Due to continued progress, appearance may vary.

Enjoy your own private beach, paddle boat, kayaks, row boat, seafood filled lagoon, & spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains all framed in a different Sunset every evening. Outdoor activities to experience without leaving your retreat. How about fresh oysters, mussels or clams for dinner from your own seafood farm? Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families and sea food lovers.

Your excursion begins with a short ferry ride to a small private island where the deer are so friendly they will eat out of your hand. This is a peaceful place to disconnect and relax, go for walks on the beach, take out the kayaks and paddleboard, and hang out in the hot tub with family or friends.

Your vacation rental, Marea, sits right at the water's edge on low bank waterfront with unobstructed views. There's a permitted Deep-water floating dock (if you would like to arrive by boat). RV parking is also available. The beach is littered with oysters & clams. The expansive deck is ideal for entertaining or enjoying the views from the hot tub. Enjoy kayaking and bird watching while roasting smores around the firepit. 3 kayaks are available. No Pets please.
