Located in a beautiful and lush garden with stunning views over Burra's golden hills, this is where you relax in a calm and stylish atmosphere. Our one bedroom accommodation sleeps a maximum of two people, has a well equipped kitchenette, a lounge/dining area, TV, Wi-Fi and AC. On the verandah, you can enjoy a glas of wine. Copper Mine Cottage

Copper Mine Cottage will be featured on Inside Selling Houses Australia New Beginnings as a follow up to the make over of my Church property in Ellalong, NSW. (Selling Houses Australia Season 16 episode 1). Built between 1846 and 1847 by the SA Mining Association and designed by G.S Kingston. The ‘Thames Street Cottages’ are some of the first buildings to be built in Burra, and are a fine example of some of the earliest residential buildings that still remains in South Australia.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.
