Step away from your busy life and fall into tranquility at Cabin28. An 1840’s built cabin situated on 4 acres of privacy with 2000 feet of clear riverfront swimming, fishing and kayaking. New custom deck and hot tub will allow you to relax and enjoy your retreat! Sit by the fire pit and enjoy a moonlit/star filled sky. Although this space has all the feel of a time long gone, its rustic charm has been updated with modern features to enhance your stay! Come enjoy an experience you won’t forget!

Forest Yurt

Yurt in a private forest area. Walking distance to the cheese factory (ice cream, lunches, snacks), produce stands, and a park. Short drive to Madoc (groceries, beer/ LCBO, parks, beach, bakery, restaurants, etc). Perfect area for star gazing, long walks & bike rides. This yurt is in a camping setting, with indoor compost toilet, seasonal private outdoor shower, no wifi but there is electricity, dishes, indoor hot plate, BBQ, mini fridge, all pots & pans and bedding and clean drinking water.

Stay beside the North River in our charming guesthouse cabin. Private riverfront to launch canoes or kayaks Public Boat launch across the road. Short drive to several lakes, the Trent Severn, multiple parks, extensive off roading & snowmobiling trails. Single loft with two twin beds that can easily be put together to make a king and a comfy queen size sofa bed on the main floor. Wood stove is the primary heat. Well cared for pets and their responsible owners are welcomed!

Off-Grid Tree Canopy Retreat

This is a multi-use nature retreat designed to provide shelter and relaxation in a secluded setting. Guests are welcome to rest and recharge in the space, enjoying the warmth of the wood stove while taking in the peaceful surroundings

Pretty Stoney Lake Cabin Suite

Guests have their own cozy studio apartment, which is private and located on the ground floor with their own entrance. It does Not include the entire cabin. Has a kitchenette with BBQ outside. The Log Cabin is directly across from the Petroglyphs Provincial Park (May-Oct); however, you can hike all year long, even with the gates closed, and also down the road to Stoney Lake with full access to a public beach (May-Oct). Perfect getaway any time of the year.

Heritage barn turned zen-den! Our open-concept, loft style, timber-frame cabin has exposed beams, barn board walls, and plenty of windows to enjoy the lake view. Decorated with a beachy boho meets mid-century vibe, it's cozy and airy at the same time! The private deck offers the perfect place to listen to the birds and read a good book. The Nook is on our 1 acre, lakefront property, alongside our home. We hope you love it here as much as we do!

Tall Pines Nature Retreats ~ La Rouge

Reconnect with nature at Tall Pines Nature Retreats, where a hand-painted yurt with a private hot tub awaits in a forest sanctuary on a boutique horticultural farm. Stargaze by the fire, relax beneath intricate ceiling art, or explore a magical riverside. Paddle, swim, or float with seasonal use of canoe, kayak, SUPs, or snowshoes. This is a registered agri-tourism farm offering a nature and wellness retreat—not a typical short-term rental.

The Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is situated on a large partially treed property in the Kawarthas. This property includes a lake lot at the bottom of the hill with a dock to access Stoney Lake. Located close to boat launches at McCracken's Landing or Gilchrist Bay, Stoney Lake offers access to the Trent Canal System . A pedal boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe are available (guests should supply their own life jackets as they are required in all watercraft)

Rose Door Cottage

Quaint and cozy 1 bedroom cottage tucked along the southeastern shore of a small, quiet lake. Recently renovated, the cottage is the perfect romantic getaway. It's located 1 km from snowmobile/ATV trails, 15 minutes from Bancroft and 45 minutes from Algonquin Park. The cottage includes a floating dock with swim ladder, bbq, woodburning outdoor firepit, canoe, kayaks, woodburning indoor fireplace, smart tv with starlink satellite.

The Birchview Tiny Off-Grid Cabin

Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or someone looking for a getaway, this is the place for you. Completed in the fall of 2020 this brand new tiny off grid cabin is well equipped. It sits on 95 acres of private property and is located 5 min from Stoney lake. A wood stove and propane heater inside to keep things toasty. A queen bed in the loft to curl up in. Beautiful cottage on picturesque Stoney Lake. We are a retired couple who have decided to rent the self-contained ground floor level. Unit equipped with Smart TV, Netflix, internet, gas fireplace, and barbecue. Fully equipped kitchen. Shared use of dock, floating raft, canoe, kayak, paddle boat, paddle board and swimming toys.
