This bespoke timber frame building was specifically designed for the holiday market.  Imagine a sumptuous high-end hotel suite glazed on two sides.  Then include a well-equipped fitted kitchen, add on an attached covered deck with semi sunken Hot Tub.  Place inside a private garden with tended lawn, climbing roses and wildflower area.  Throw in a handmade slate alfresco dining set and brick built charcoal grill.   Then raise it up to maximise the 180 degrees of uninterrupted country side views.

Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Cosy Somerset Retreat

The cottage is part of a historic gate house that was the entrance to the Bishop of Wells's Palace when he moved to Somerset to escape the Plague. There is some excavation in the garden to the right of the house that shows the old cobblestone floor and original wall of the palace. The Roman Arch is listed in the Dooms Day book. Cottage has thick stone walls and relaxing vibe, beautiful garden filled with bird song, there are comfy beds and plenty of great walks and sites to visit in the area.

Set within a wing of this historic medieval stone Manor House, Otters Holt at Chipley Escapes is on the first floor and accessed via its own private entrance and staircase. Our lovely 2-bed cottage sits on the edge of Exmoor and is only a 20min walk from local amenities. A cosy home from home, with a wood burner (logs provided), broadband, Smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, including tea coffee milk etc. A pretty little garden to enjoy the lovely view, secure off road parking for 1 car plus additional parking available with prior arrangement. One well behaved dog welcome.
