Parking is offered on a first come first served basis on our private car park. free scratch cards for on street parking are also included. Situated on the 1st floor, accessed by lift or stairs.

Cosy Cottage Close To 199 Steps, Perfect Location

The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

It is accessed from a traditional yard and has been beautifully renovated to offer a twin and a king size room on the 2nd floor, each with their own en-suite. The cottage has a lovely living area running from front to back comprising of a fitted kitchen with quartz countertops, dining & lounge area. The french doors & glass Juliet balcony allow unrestricted views across the sand below, harbour & out to sea. 4 guests max, no pets, no parties (requested quite time 10pm-7am) There is no parking in this area & cottage is unsuitable for children under 10 years old

Sandside Retreat

Sandside Retreat is situated in the heart of Whitby’s Old Town, at the foot of the iconic 199 steps leading to the Abbey. ; whilst tucked away for peace and quiet. Just a stone’s throw away from Tate Hill Sands, harbour, shops, restaurants and bars. Sleeping up to 3 guests, it features a cosy living room with separate kitchen/diner. There is a private patio which overlooks the sea towards the East Pier. Unlike many cottages to the East Side, there are no steps leading up to the cottage.

Summerfield Bungalow

Summerfield bungalow is located just outside the village of Hawsker, midway between Whitby & Robin Hood’s bay. The bungalow is private, detached, not overlooked & is spacious, bright with stunning views from every window. From the front you can see Whitby Abbey and harbour, from the side there’s a lovely view of All Saints church approx 20 metres away & from the rear there are uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside. The gardens extend to around a third of an acre and are secure.

Private entrance, sleeps maximum 4 people: 2 people in main bedroom with one double bed and 2 people in one smaller room with one double bed. Please note sofas in the lounge are NOT sofa beds. Grade II Listed, near 199 Steps, Tate Beach and with a fabulous view out onto the cobbles of historic Church Street. Perfect for Winter weekends with a real fire available from October to April. Great in Summer for getting out to explore all that Whitby and its surrounding area has to offer.

The entrance leads into an open hallway with the fully equipped kitchen / diner and a living room off it. Upstairs to the first floor you will find a king size suite room and also a twin bedded room. Up on the third floor is the second king sized room and a bunk bedded room, plus separate bathroom.
