Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

No sound or sight of traffic here and low light pollution in the village provides front seat tickets to galaxy granduer. Whangamata is only 12kms drive if you would like to eat out.
