We know how amazing this place is and we can't wait to share it with you. Boomerang Boulder Bach, Whareroa Village

Built in 2023 the Boomerang Boulder Bach above the shores of Lake Taupo, at Whareroa, is styled on the architectural era of the 1950s. Wood-paneling throughout, stone interior wall, Scandinavian-styled furniture, and bespoke kitchen. A wrap-around deck shows off Lake Taupo, and the imposing Whareroa Cliffs. Although the neighbouring houses are close, the village has very few permanent residents and so the peace and quiet is almost deafening; birdsong and boats is often all you will hear.

Richcrest Farm Stay-Self contained Cabin

Richcrest Cabin is built for two people. Off the grid and eco-friendly. Set beside a small lake and totally private. Enjoy the company of New Zealand's beautiful birds, Tui, Fantail and an abundance of Kereru. The cabin provides a stunning peaceful private retreat to escape from the trappings of modern life. Double glazed, fully insulated, infinity gas and a 100 year old weeping willow tree to relax and unwind under. Situated on a traditional New Zealand sheep and beef hill country farm.

Cozy guest residence

Keep it simple at this peaceful and well-located space, with access to the beautiful Virginia Lake , quaint little guest residence with queen bed & ensuite. Facilities to make tea and coffee, with microwave / toaster and mini fridge and Smart TV in second room. Guest house is located next to the main dwelling, linked by beautiful decking. We have sectioned a part of the deck off for our guests to enjoy while they are here. Our house / guesthouse is situated well back from the road.

"The End of the Road"

The bach is well equipped, but GUESTS MUST SUPPLY OWN LINEN (sheets, pillow slips & towels), and CLEAN it before leaving. It is a fisherman's bach at the end of a quiet street. Lake Taupo is a 10 minute walk and the Tauranga Taupo River nearby. We have plenty of duvets and blankets. NO WIFI. If you are unable to clean the house before you leave or supply your own linen it's better if you find a motel or hotel nearby. We keep the price lower by not having a cleaning fee.

Hidden Valley Retreat. Toutouwai Chalet.

Toutouwai Chalet is part of Hidden Valley Retreat. A unique property set on 17 acres of land with three lakes. The chalet is simple, modern and warm. There is a generous deck with views over a private lake. Ideally located at the Ohakune Junction with a short drive to the ski fields and town centre. It is a five minute walk to the best bars and restaurants. As a guest you'll have access to a unique lakefront woodfired sauna which is part of Hidden Valley Retreat.

Private spacious bedroom with patio and connecting private spa. Totally independent accommodation with no shared spaces. Great location for accessing Lake Taupo (5 minutes) walk including great marina and cafe. Turangi (10 minutes drive), World famous trout fishing in the Tongariro River. Ski fields, tramping and Tongariro Crossing are only 45 minutes away. Taupo is just over half an hour away to the North. Accommodation is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac.
