The Chequers gastro pub is a short stroll away.

Slow down and recharge at The Old Smithy. Built about 600 years ago, this Cotswold stone blacksmiths forge has been transformed into a cosy retreat for two. Kingham is a highly sought after village in the heart of the Cotswolds. With a wealth of brilliant pubs and wonderful countryside walks on our doorstep, you can bring your dog along to enjoy too. Using non-toxic household products where possible and putting sustainability at the forefront by using refillable bottles.

There are 3 steps down to the annexe.

Estelle Manor 1.5 miles, Woodstock/Blenheim Palace/Witney 5 miles, Kidlington 7 miles, Oxford 10 miles & Bicester Village is located fairly nearby. Cheltenham/Newbury Racecourses 35 miles.

Famous Cotswold villages surround the area including Stow on the Wold, Burford and Bourton on the Water.

Or enjoy the exquisite gastronomic delights that Stow’s cafes, restaurants, coffee shops and local markets are famous for. Enjoy exploring the ancient town and learning about the history of the ‘tures’ (old sheep passages). Stow is famous for being an antique dealers heaven. Cheltenham and Oxford are only 30 minutes away.

A spacious one bedroom annexe with its own kitchen and shower room. Accessed via its own door (mind your head!) a small entrance hall leads into a kitchen area, a shower room and on into a large south facing bedroom with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the front lawn of the main house. Relax on the comfy sofa or enjoy your meals at the dining table. Fully equipped for short or longer stays. A 20 minute walk across the fields to The Farmer's Dog pub.
