As the train rolls by, history that engineered Glacier Park's roots romances enchantment of the pasts rustic essence. The RR winds through tunnels and trestles along the south border of the park and was originally the only way to visit Glacier. Light sleeper could have problem with the train noise. Lots of winter activities as well. Plenty of snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and Big Mountain skiing. Whitefish is a short 17 mile drive.
