Welcome to our peaceful escape location. Just 60 minutes from Wellington, your private suite overlooks Lake Wairarapa and is surrounded by farmland, bush and lake views and includes your own private spa and gardens - a perfect place to escape, gaze at the night sky, and relax. Single nights available Sunday-Thursday, no cleaning fees, a light breakfast is included, and a kitchenette and covered BBQ are available. Centrally located , this warm & sunny studio is easy walking distance from the best that the city has to offer, and a short drive to airport & ferries. I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. Cafes, shops & restaurants, walks around the harbour & hills - It's all within easy reach, or just sit back & relax.

My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

City Spa Retreat

Welcome to your own private retreat, nestled in the Wadestown suburb close to Wellington city. This brand new spa guesthouse is fully self contained with bathroom, open plan kitchen, washhouse, lounge with wifi, smart tv, queen bed and for a touch of 5 star living - nestled under cover with skylights, is your own private spa. Your home away from home is a 5 minute taxi or bus ride or a 30 minute walk to the Wellington CBD and the main sports and event stadiums. Parking is on the street.

Studio in garden, cosy, close to CBD, and Airport

Studio in delightful garden setting. Enjoy the tuis in the tree outside the studio window. Sleeps two (one double bed). Breakfast (items provided so you can make yourself a continental breakfast). Deck with stunning Evans Bay backdrop. 10 minutes from the airport, 7 minutes walk to two beaches, 25 minutes walk around iconic Oriental Bay to the city or 5 minutes on the No 14 bus. 25 minutes walk up Mount Victoria for 360 degree views of Wellington. Free parking on street. Private, quiet area.

Studio Nico Wellington You can walk everywhere

Studio Nico is located city side midway between the CBD and Newtown. Within walking distance. Hospital (10 mins), Massey University (3 mins), Basin Reserve (3 mins) and Te Papa (14 mins). Cafes, bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. The bus stop is 3 minutes away. Suitable for Hospital and Massey University visitors. We provide homemade muesli, cornflakes, milk, yoghurt and NZ seasonal fruits. For long term (1 week or more) guests an initial breakfast pack will be supplied.

"Newtown Oasis" Self contained + breakfast

Our BnB is homely, a little quirky & best suited to those who travel relatively light. Self service breakfast is included. There are 2 spaces (bedroom ± separate kitchen/bathroom) a few steps apart & linked by a covered walkway. The cosy bedroom has a queen size bed, desk for work or eating, good WiFi & comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking & the bathroom has a great shower. The nook outside the bedroom is perfect for a morning coffee.

It's a walk up to a special view of Wellington

Nestled against the bush just above our home, our studio offers an amazing view of Wellington Harbour. Reaching it requires a brief uphill walk, but for those who enjoy the outdoors and don’t shy away from a little exercise, the reward is well worth it. The breathtaking views and cosy accommodation make the effort part of the experience. That said, if you prefer level access or are travelling with particularly heavy luggage, our studio may not be the best fit.

Tui House

A perfect spot to stay for bush-walkers and mountain bikers or for sport or music fans in Wellington for a game or a concert. You’ll see tui and kereru and hear ruru at night. Otari Wilton Bush is over the road, Zealandia 2km away, and it’s a 10-min drive to Makara Peak. You've got a dedicated off road car park and you're 30 metres from a bus that runs at least every 30 minutes every day. You can cook, do laundry, and iron if you want to.

Urban Forest Retreat

Kick back and relax in this calm, private, stylish studio nestled in an urban forest and just a few minutes walk to the beach and 15mins to the CBD/8mins to airport. Stay in and enjoy a morning coffee while listening to native bird song or eat alfresco on the private deck which gets afternoon and evening sun. Go out and explore the south coast with the beach & bush walks less than 10mins walk from your door.

Hillside Studio

Welcome to our cosy hillside haven nestled on Wrights Hill. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space located just 10 minutes drive from the CBD and a few minutes walk from a bus stop. Nestled in close proximity to Zealandia, you will likely see Tui, Kereru and even the odd Kaka during your stay. The studio is located down a quiet cul-de-sac with off-street parking and easy access.

Tucked among olive trees in Mt Victoria, this private studio offers a peaceful retreat just 10 minutes’ walk from Wellington’s vibrant centre. Set beside a restored villa, it features a sunny deck, hotel-quality linen, Nespresso coffee, and curated artwork by local artist Glen Jorna.
