We would love to welcome you to enjoy our lovely, boutique studio with beautiful views over the Ohope Beach and iconic Whale and White Islands. This studio ideally suits a single/couple.( Not suitable for children) Ohope - voted NZs favourite beach - great swimming, lovely walks close by or simply walk down the beach. Close to Whakatane - a great little town with boutique shopping and dining venues. Come and relax or take the opportunity to do charter fishing or trip to Whale Island. ENJOY!

Welcome to "The Awning" prepare to be relaxed.

Our bach is designed to bring people together and create lasting memories. The 2 relaxing bedrooms are positioned around a large covered outdoor room and courtyard. This functional space can be as open or as closed in as you desire. Open the 2 large glass garage doors in the morning to listen to the waves crashing while you have your morning coffee, or start the day with an outdoor shower. Evenings are best finished toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, or going for a walk on the beach.

A quiet location, surrounded with well-established plants and trees, and a working farm behind, this is a place where you can relax, soak in the tranquillity, listen to the bird life, read a book or even paint while revelling in the ever-changing vista of the harbour below. If you are looking for a little more activity take advantage of the outdoors with harbour, beach and local walks close by.

Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

We have one modern fully self contained apartment in Coastlands, Whakatane, we live above apartment which is at rear on ground floor. Only 400 metres walk to main beach access, good fishing with Surfcasting or Kontiki fishing or maybe take a stroll or relax and enjoy this lovely beach. 7 minutes drive to shopping, supermarket. We highly recommend you try Awakeri Rail Adventures during your stay for a fun kiwiana experience, our top pick !

Bush haven private studio

Surrounded by the bush, our unique cosy studio is a welcome retreat. Breakfast and good coffee is provided for our guests. Situated at the top of a hill with good views. We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. This is a great place to unwind and relax.
