Hockey Hut

Hockey Hut is a cosy, clean, self contained and comfortable hut it has everything you need for a cosy stay. We offer a variety of cereals, breads, tea and coffee for breakfast. Franz Josef township is a 10 minute walk away or a 2 minute drive. Relax and enjoy the beautiful native surroundings. We are at the far end of Cron street, straight past the hot pools, then past the medical centre until you see our red Maori Pau (red carving) then turn right up our drive. We are 116 Cron street.

Short stairs leading down to bathroom and bedroom. Queen bedroom with french doors leading out onto private deck area. Amazing views of the southern alps from different points in and around the house. This is a unique space with a homely feel by the sea in a friendly and welcoming community.

The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.
