Escape from the busy life and retreat to our cabin in the woods for a restful and rejuvenating stay. Our Goldfinch Cabin is the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub while star gazing and listening to all the sounds of the forest. The cabin is located on over 300 acres with hiking trails, a large pond, creeks, and rocky outcroppings to explore. Inside the cabin you will find a cozy living room, full kitchen, and very comfortable bedrooms. Welcome!

Blissful 1-Bedroom- Walking Distance to Campus

Away from the hustle and bustle of OU Campus, just a short walk (1/2 mile) to the College Green and Court Street entertainment venues. Park in the attached garage. For a limited time, Athens Krishna House - a Bhakti-Yoga and Meditation Center, is available for your tranquil getaway. No TV. For the sanctity of this unique space, No Smoking, No Meat, No Fish, No Eggs, No Alcohol, No Party in the house. We are sorry we cannot allow pets inside. Shoes need to be left in the foyer. Thank You.

The Stargazer (20min hocking hills) fast Internet

The Stargazer is a perfect staycation/vacation cottage, welcoming guests to stay on a 68 acre tree farm with 8 Nigerian dwarf goats, 6 sheep & three chubby dogs. The farm was recently quoted by Vinton Soil Water Conservation as a wildlife mecca, perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature & relax. Various species of birds, hawks, owls, deer, wild turkeys, geese & occasional bobcat may be spotted. By booking a stay, you are agreeing to make a donation to The Stargazer Trust.

Equestrian Studio

Quaint in the hills of Southern Ohio. This studio apartment is a one bed room with a lovely view overlooking the outdoor horse riding arena. It offers a kitchenette and sitting area downstairs. Upstairs has a queen size bed over looking the riding arena. A country setting at it's best. Pet friendly. Trailer Parking available. Some weekends we host equine events. Horses and exhibitors will be around the facility. There is a horse arena in front and at times you can watch !

The Cottage

This is a rural location. Located on an open hill along a private drive, this newly built -"little house on the prairie"- is surrounded by fields on one end and woods on the other. Nothing but stars at night -no neighbors nearby. Trails and ponds are available for your enjoyment. Swimming* and fishing is encouraged in the warmer months. A small outdoor fire ring is nearby. Hiking in the woods on the far side of the field will be off limits last week of October through thanksgiving.

Yellow Dog Barndominium

Our brand new barndominium is a 10 minute drive from Ohio University, yet sits on a 100+ acres in the country. You will find it located near the front of the property, feet away from a 16 acre private water ski lake with beautiful sunset views. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming during their stay. We designed this as a couples retreat, including a 4 person hot tub, but a second bedroom with a full bed and twin trundle can accommodate friends or family who may join you.

Cabin Retreat at Whitetail Run

Tranquil cabin on private 17 acres with pond only 90 minutes from central Ohio. Great for star gazing and amazing views. Welcome to our newly Amish built cabin overlooking a private stocked pond on 17 acres of rolling hills in Vinton County. Explore trails through mature woods and wildflower meadows. Enjoy scenic views from the spacious deck, patio, or in the hot tub. Whether you are up for a quiet get away or an adventure this cabin and surrounding area has much to offer.

Altenbrauch Farm - Camping in the Hocking Hills

Located only 8 miles from Hocking Hills State Park, Altenbrauch Farm's 62-acre property features a mix of open fields, small streams, wooded hills and a lonely country road. Easily pitch your tent in an open field or trek through the hills and hollows to find the perfect primitive campsite. Within a half-hour drive, there are many opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, hunting and fishing, and birding.

Take it easy at this unique and pet friendly place. The Tired Beagle is a repurposed Dog Grooming business. There is a Queen bed and Futon Bed. The dog wash is available for pets. Located on a working farm in the country, yet a couple miles from Ohio University, you havel 40 acres for nature walks, easy access to town and unique wineries. The Tired Beagle has ample parking and located next to road for quick access.

Sun Valley Farm Cottage

Enjoy a one-bedroom cottage located on a family-owned farm on the outskirts of Minford. We are located within 5 minutes of Rose Valley Animal Park and the White Gravel Mines. For those who enjoy a little drive, there are many state and national parks within an hour. You can also enjoy some farm fresh eggs and hang out with the farm animals during your stay!

Secluded Woodland Getaway Near Athens
