We are located at the tip of Michigan’s lower peninsula: 6 miles to Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Bridge & ferry boats to Mackinaw Island. 2 miles to Northwestern State Trail. During your stay enjoy free use of kayaks, paddle boat, tubes, swing and fire pit (with free firewood) at waters edge.

This wooded, secluded cabin has a cozy "up north" feel. Visit the locks, local islands, waterways, and all of the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Escape to our cozy Epoufette cabin, built in 2007 and hosting guests since 2019. Surrounded by Hiawatha State Forest, it offers instant access to ORV trails, 100s of miles of trout streams, and world-class fishing for brook trout, salmon, and steelhead. Just minutes from Cut River Bridge and Garlyn Zoo, this true “Up North” retreat is perfect for outdoor adventure or a peaceful getaway.

The Cabin

Our cabin is conveniently located directly across from the groomed snowmobile trail. Centrally located for easy access to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, the Soo Locks, and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Midway between Lakes Superior and Michigan with many inland lakes. New flooring and a full size fold out couch were added in the beginning of 2025. We can now accommodate 5-6 guests.
