Forest View Lodge is situated on a quiet site, which is located right on the Lake District National Park border, making it an excellent base for exploring the Lakes . The site has no amenities, however there is a garden centre tea room next door and a pub in the next village. Cockermouth is 10 minutes, Keswick 25 mins. The lodge sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms, both en-suite. There is a fully-equipped modern kitchen, and the decking is perfect for relaxing with a drink after a day exploring.

A perfect base for walkers and sightseeing. 2 or more by agreement off road parking spaces are readily available. .

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

Offering panoramic countryside views, and well-positioned for hiking trails and a range of amenities, this wonderful property makes the perfect base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District. The holiday cottage is very comfortable with lounge sofas - both of which are sofa beds - a kitchen with the extras of a dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is included along side a smart TV.
