The Bunkhouse Loft / Private Room #6 is the private space (the entire upper level of the hostel), SLEEPS UP TO 6 GUESTS. It has a queen size bed in a semi-private room and two sets of bunk beds in the main room. There is a half bath and a kitchenette area with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, sofa and chair. Showers are located on the lower level of the hostel along with the main kitchenette. This rustic historical structure was originally built as a men's boarding house. It sits on 15 acres, having its own private peninsula on the Michigamme River. Fish from the shore or kayak the river. We are located at the trail head of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. The Pine Grove, Maki's Mini Mart and Summer Place restaurant are within walking distance. We are at close to the intersection for Marquette, Iron Mountain, travel to the Keweenaw or to the Porkies.
