Come and relax around the pool, big fireplace, go for game drives, or go have have a sundowner on the mountainside with breathtaking views. this unit consist of a doublebed in the mainbedroom with ensuite bathroom the second bedroom consist of 2double beds and a bunker bed and 2 sleaper coaches in the living room

Fully solar, off grid. 4x4 required for rainy months, as the farm roads can get extremely muddy.

Kudu lodge

These luxury rooms share a communal lapa with an open-plan lounge, dining, and kitchen. The lounge area has a large L-shape leather couch. The dining area has an 8-seater dining room table and a built-in braai. The living area leads out onto a wooden deck area with an attached swimming pool and boma area. There are guided game drives available at an extra cost (picnic and game drive option also available). The nature reserve allows fishing at a few of the dams (tilapia, bass and catfish).

The mountain cottage is a unique, remote and romantic place to disconnect, enjoy spectacular sunsets followed by an evening of star gazing. High up in the Waterberg mountains this eco cottage operates on solar power and relies on rain water harvesting, whilst battery operated lamps are provided for light. The cottage is best reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle; alternatively arrange for us to fetch you at the gate to take you. Join us and switch off, very limited connectivity only.

Matopos Cabin

Matopos is a rustic rock-and-wood cabin set within a wild syringa forest on Grootfontein Private Reserve. Ideal for a getaway for a couple or small families. Surrounded by nature and mountain views, it’s a quiet space to slow down and settle in. The cabin features two en-suite bedrooms, a simple kitchenette, comfortable lounge, and braai facilities. Outdoors, unwind in the wood-fired hot tub and take in the stillness of the surrounding bush.

Aloe Lodge (6 sleeper)

Aloe Lodge is tucked between two rocky hills on Grootfontein Private Reserve, offering a quiet, private escape for 4-6 guests.
