Welcome! Come explore the wonderful area of Mount Vernon, Iowa. We are within walking distance to Main Street, its shops and eateries, Bijou Movie Theater, and Cornell College! Both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City are also a short drive away. You will be close to everything when you stay at our centrally-located home! The home comfortably accommodates 6 guests. A Queen Air Mattress is available for an additional 2 guests. There is a $15 fee per night per person for 7th and 8th guest. 8 guests max.

Lake Macbride Getaway 20min Cedar Rapids & U of IA

Time to gather with your friends and family at Lake MacBride Getaway with partial views of the lake. Just 15 steps away from the forest along the north shore hiking trails. 3 minute walk to the water. Trailhead starts just across from the driveway which connects to many trails. Dip into the hot tub after a day of adventure. During the summer, head to the beach or rent a boat just a 3 minute drive. Our place is close to everything! A 5-10 minute drive to just about anything in town. Newbo District and downtown are 5 min by car and 15 min on a bike. The bike path is 1/2 mile from the house and easily accessible. You will enjoy the quiet wooded location of this completely renovated "cozy" 500 Sq. Ft. one bedroom cottage. Come enjoy a relaxing get away on beautiful Sugar Bottom Road. A great place for the outdoor enthusiast, no matter the season. Ideal also for quiet relaxation and privacy. We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.

The Milk House is a unique space located in the countryside, between Iowa City and Kalona. This 700 square foot home has ample parking and room for four adults.
