Wolvekloof Karoo at Modderfontein offers a secluded farm stay in the heart of the Karoo, featuring elegant game farm accommodation and serene remoteness. Located 50km north east of Graaff Reinet on the Erasmus kloof road. The farm invites exploration, with MTB trails, hiking and trail running routes winding through the vast terrain. Visitors can discover ancient Bushman paintings, experiencing game viewing with their own 4x4 or enjoy birdwatching. Pets are welcome under personal supervision.

For the nature lover. The teeny two sleeper wood cabin is well situated alongside a gurgling stream in an untouched forest boasting numerous fern and plant species. All food prep and cooking is at the lapa under the canopy of trees outside on a fire or two plate gas hob. A bag of wood is provided. Time spent at the cabin is for someone who wants to camp and relax with nature but does not want to set up a tent. All you need to bring is food and towels to shower and swim. We are pet friendly.

This, one of the most charming and historically significant of the cottages in Graaff-Reinet’s picturesque Parsonage Street, offers three bedrooms all with double beds, all en-suite – one with a shower, and two with small bath/combined shower arrangements. Externally, there is a paved entertainment facility, with a table and chairs, leading through to a swimming pool in an adjoining separate walled area.

The house is child-friendly, and pets are welcome too. A gun-safe is provided, ideal for hunters. The stove is gas, so cooking during load-shedding is never a problem! As with many Graaff-Reinet houses, there is ONLY ON-STREET PARKING. There is also no TV.
