Relax at the newly remodeled cottage in Oceanville, a small island off from Stonington. You will enjoy the privacy of 9 acres of land with over 1000 ft of shore front to explore. The quaint town of Stonington is a short 7 min drive and has a small grocery store, coffee shop and restaurants. There are boat excursions and kayak rentals in the area. The Opera House features wonderful shows and many community events are held throughout the summer. Located 60 miles from Acadia National Park

Lavender by the Sea

The Cottage rests over the end of Penobscot River as it opens into the Bay. The Cottage will comfortably accommodate two. The Cottage has a spacious bedroom, full kitchen, dining area, den and an all season porch with rockers. From Cottage there are views of the water and the lavender gardens. The gardens are terraced with a path down to the sea. The Carriage House Suite is available for an additional fee. it has has two bedrooms, a full bath and a sitting area. It can easily sleep four.

The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.
